התנגדות בלתי אלימה בפסיכותרפיה ובחברה

הכנס השביעי ביוזמת קבוצת פסיכואקטיב – אנשי בריאות נפש לזכויות אדם, יתקיים לזכרו של ד"ר איאד אל סראג‘, פסיכיאטר עזתי, שפעל להתנגדות לכיבוש הישראלי בדרכים בלתי אלימות והוביל את התפתחות שירותי בריאות הנפש הקהילתית בשטחים הפלסטיניים הכבושים.
התנגדות היא מונח מרכזי בשני תחומי עשייה שונים מאוד זה מזה: פסיכואנליזה והמאבק נגד הכיבוש. בפסיכואנליזה, התפתחה ההכרה שלהתנגדות יש גם השפעות משחררות ושיתכן שהיא נחוצה לטיפול. בהתנגדות לכיבוש, רבים מהפעילים המעורבים במאבק מחזיקים בעקרונות של אי אלימות, מתוך הכרה בכך שאלימות מובילה לאלימות נוספת.
נושאים אלו יעמדו במרכזו של הכנס, המאורגן על ידי פסיכואקטיב, קול אחר ו-רופאים לזכויות אדם.
הכנס בהשתתפות: ג'סיקה בנג'מין, אחמד אבו טאווחינה, סטיבן פרוש, לין סגל, סמאח ג'אבר, יעקב רז, אורי הדר, נאסר אל סראג' ורוחמה מרטון.
הכנס יתקיים בשפה האנגלית.

Non-violent resistance in psychotherapy and Society: Conference in Memory of Dr Eyad el Sarraj

Resistance is a common term in two very different fields of action: psychoanalysis and the struggle against occupation by foreign powers. In psychoanalysis, it has recently been recognized that resistance may have liberating effects and may be needed for therapy. In resisting the occupation, many of those who are involved in resistance hold non-violent principles, in recognition that violence leads to more violence even after the removal of the occupying regime. These issues will be at the center of a one-day conference in memory of Dr Eyad el Sarraj, Gazan psychiatrist who practiced non-violent Palestinian resistance to the Israeli occupation and was a leader of community mental health in the occupied Palestinian territories.
