אודות Guy Edlis
My name is Guy Edlis, M.A..
I graduated in 2002 with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Tel-Aviv University, and currently I am doing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Tennessee, USA, under the mentoring of Prof. Leonard Handler.
In my professional interests, I am mostly interested in long-term psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Theoretically, I am specifically inclined toward a psychoanalytical perspective, while integrating empirical findings from developmental psychopathology and psychotherapy research of process and outcome.
As for psychological assessment, my clinical work reflects a multi-level and multi-method perspective, integrating both projective and self-reports (objective) measures. In addition, I often conduct psychological assessment through contemporary approaches such as Therapeutic Assessment Paradigm, where assessment becomes a therapeutic intervention in itself, and often integrated within the therapeutic process. I conduct diverse types of assessments, such as personality, learning disorders, attentional deficits, forensic, and cognitive functioning.
